Vazhathandu Rice (Banana stem rice)

Vazhathandu Rice (Banana stem Rice 
A Fibre rich variety rice recipe which is super delicious and takes just few minutes to prepare.
The best part of this rice is until you tell anyone that this is banana stem...no one cake guess the rice.
Ingredients:
Banana stem - 1 long piece 
(Finely chopped)
Cooked rice - 1 cup
Oil - 3 tablespoons 
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Peanuts - handful 
Urud dal - 1tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Asafatedia - 1 pinch
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Salt as per taste 
Method:
# Finely chop vazhathandu/ banana stem. (Add the chopped stem to water...it change its colour. 
# Heat a pan add oil, let it get warm...add mustard(wait till it crackle well) add urud dal and peanuts (wait till it becomes roasted) add chopped stem (squiz) well and add. Saute well add all the dry masala powder with salt. Sprinkle little water cover it for 3-4 minutes.
# once cooked well add rice and mix well.
Add curry leaves and mix well.
You can serve with raita or papad.
